2021–2026
Director of Engineering
Groupe Chantelle
Led ~30 people across Berlin and near-shore teams. Rationalised six platforms down to two (Magento Open Source on AWS with Next.js in Europe, BigCommerce microservices on GCP in the US), cut annual run-rate from €4M to €3M, halved page-load times to a 99.99% SLO, and put a first-wave GenAI stack (RAG on pgvector, Gemini, n8n) into production.
2019–2021
Chief Digital Officer
SG Equipment Finance, Berlin
Built a 30-person digital factory from zero in under six months, with full delegation over hiring, budget and roadmap. Shipped an OCR, computer-vision and ML risk engine that cut analysis time by 80%, and a client portal for contracts and repayments.
2015–2019
Engineering Manager, Innovation & Developer Experience
Société Générale
Ran the innovation lab and the developer-experience group on a €2–3M budget. The YODA chatbot before ChatGPT, OCR and computer vision, Pepper robots, the PSD2 API platform and API catalog, and cloud and open-source adoption. Digital Award in 2016.
2011–2015
Lead & Full-stack Engineer
Sopra Banking, Société Générale, Ministry of Agriculture
Critical card-payment systems (issuing, acquiring, clearing) and PCI-DSS compliance, an award-winning investor application, and an offline-first field app that retired the paper trail for inspectors.
